The item did not last one month. The adapter wire to the ear piece did not work.
Instead, it charges my phone and the bluetooth unit at the same time. I was hoping I could use this Y cable to charge 2 Motorola phones at the same time. So, I can still use it, but it wasn't what I had expected.
It lets you charge a cell phone and headset together or independantly with just one charger. This Y charger is just what I needed. There are even labels on the ends so you know which one to use.
This thing is very handy and works well with all my motorola products until I upgraded to a Razr which uses a different power cord.
The connector even has a tag and a picture of phone and headset on each Y connector. I can charge both my phone and my bluetooth wireless speaker at the same time. I am very happy with it. This connector is great for my phone. I have a Motorola v710. I can use it both in my car and at home.
